In 2016, Denise was spurred into running by the introduction of a bill that would have legalized gun possession on college campuses across the state. The prime sponsor of the legislation was her Representative and that was something that didn’t sit well with her, so she ran for office.
One of the greatest benefits to Denise was her long standing presence in her community as a health care provider, as a concerned citizen, and as a parent and grand parent. She continues to be a fantastic representative for those who need a voice.
